A person died on Monday night in Paris in the 20th arrondissement, after a traffic accident. A vehicle traveling at high speed and frequently changing lanes hit an obstacle on Boulevard des Maréchaux, learned BFMTV from the Paris prosecutor’s office.

On Monday evening, around 11:35 p.m. on the inner ring road, a BAC crew found that a vehicle occupied by four people was driving dangerously and at very high speed, between Porte de Pantin and Porte des Lilas, details a police source to BFMTV.

The driver of the vehicle fled along the ring road to the Porte de Vincennes. He took the Maréchaux, distancing the police. However, at 11:45 p.m., the police found that the vehicle had just crashed into a tree at Place de la Porte de Bagnolet.

The emergency services provided first aid to three of the vehicle’s occupants, the fourth having fled. Two other seriously injured passengers were involved.

The rear passenger, born in 1998, died. The driver and front passenger, with multiple injuries but conscious, were extricated in serious condition but not life-threatening, according to the judicial source.

The Accident Judicial Processing Service is in charge of the investigation. The initial investigations seek to clarify the circumstances of the accident.
