Night of Museums 2024 in Paris: Night-time activities at the City of Architecture and Heritage

The Nuit des Musées 2024 is the perfect occasion to explore numerous monuments and museums in the capital through a beautiful program of nighttime visits, often free and accompanied by special activities for both children and adults. Paris and the entire Île-de-France region join in, offering a wide range of cultural activities for visitors to enjoy. The 20th edition of this amazing event will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2024.

The Cité de l’Architecture et du Patrimoine in Paris, located in the Palais Chaillot on the Trocadéro square, is an exceptional and monumental museum spanning 22,000 m2. It houses numerous models, city plans, and immense sculptures, allowing visitors to delve deeply into the world of architecture, urbanism, and technical expertise.

From the Trocadéro square, visitors can not only enjoy the stunning view of the Eiffel Tower but also explore the Cité de l’Architecture et du Patrimoine within the Palais de Chaillot. This museum showcases French craftsmanship, history, evolution, and influence around the world. It features temporary exhibitions with fascinating angles and an impressive collection of models, fortified city plans, forgotten building fragments, and stained-glass windows.

For the 20th edition of the Nuit des Musées, the Cité de l’Architecture et du Patrimoine in Paris invites visitors to discover its treasures through a special nighttime program with unique activities. Various events are planned for the evening, such as a Murder Party, access to the “Metro! The Grand Paris in Movement” exhibition, guided tours, and more.

One of the highlights of the evening will be a Murder Party where participants will solve a mystery within the museum. Visitors can also explore the “Metro! The Grand Paris in Movement” exhibition, which showcases the history of the Paris metro and its urban transformations. An audioguide is available for a more in-depth experience.

In addition, visitors can enjoy free access to the exhibitions “Our Lady of Paris: From Builders to Restorers” and “Paul Andreu: Architecture is an Art.” Guided tours and flash visits will be offered throughout the evening, providing a unique insight into the architectural wonders of the museum.
