The National Football League (NFL) is set to return to Germany as part of the “International Games 2023” initiative. The league made its debut in Munich last year, but this time, Frankfurt and Munich will be the two venues for the German NFL games until 2025.
Reports suggest that both NFL games in 2023 will take place in Frankfurt instead of Munich, although an official confirmation from the NFL is still pending. The NFL’s head, Roger Goodell, has already announced plans for more games in Germany beyond 2023.
The NFL games in Frankfurt for 2023 will take place on November 12th and 19th, and will feature the Kansas City Chiefs playing against the Chicago Bears, and the New England Patriots playing against the New Orleans Saints. Mac Jones, quarterback for the Patriots, will also play a home game in Germany in 2023.
There is currently no information available regarding the ticket sales process or the prices for NFL games in Germany. However, by registering on the NFL International Games website, fans will get the opportunity to purchase tickets on the first day of official sales. Tickets for the Munich game in 2022 were priced between €60 and €155 for adults, with children’s tickets available at around €40.
The NFL also plans on playing three games in the English capital, London, next season featuring the Buffalo Bills, Tennessee Titans, and Jacksonville Jaguars. The 2023 NFL playoffs are already underway, with football fans eagerly anticipating the grand finale on February 13th.
