Newly Designed Salon Debuts at Paris Fashion Week

WSN Developpement, the organizer of Première Classe salon, is planning to bring a design touch to its upcoming events during Paris Fashion Week. For the first time, the salon’s organizers are dedicating a space specifically to design. Matter & Shape will occupy around 1,500 square meters in a tent at the heart of the Tuileries Garden. This new initiative aims to respond to the growing trend of fashion and design coming together. The organization is expecting around 45 exhibitors, including major industry publishers, brands, lifestyle offerings, and emerging designers. The event will take place from March 1 to 4, 2024.

Matter & Shape wants to bring an international flavor to the visitors present during Paris Fashion Week and enhance the attraction of the Tuileries Garden. The intention is to offer a diverse selection of design inspirations from various continents. The organizers view Fashion Week as the best opportunity to test this concept, with plans to potentially duplicate it in other markets or at different times.

This period also allows WSN to develop a proposition in a segment historically occupied for 30 years by the giant Maison & Objet. However, Matthieu Pinet, the organizer of Matter & Shape, clarifies that they are not in direct competition. The events are held on different dates, and Matter & Shape offers a new approach during Fashion Week. It also differentiates itself in terms of concept and number of exhibitors. Pinet is confident about the positive reception from industry professionals and design references.

With luxury and premium fashion brands increasingly expanding into a lifestyle beyond clothing and accessories, Matter & Shape has the potential to capture the attention of the fashion industry in March next year.
