New transfer to Paris? Luis Enrique announces colors for PSG – Mercato

Foot – Mercato – PSG

The PSG announced the arrival of Lucas Beraldo on January 1st, but the question now is what the capital club has in store for the rest of the transfer market. There could still be movement in Paris before the transfer window closes. The question was posed to Luis Enrique and this Saturday, at a press conference, the PSG coach left the door open to other arrivals.

As the leader of Ligue 1 and qualified for the Champions League knockout stages, PSG has important matches to play in 2024. For this reason, Luis Enrique needs to have the best players at his disposal. However, the club has been facing some injuries, including the latest one to Milan Skriniar. Despite this, PSG can rely on the addition of Lucas Beraldo in central defense. Arriving from Sao Paulo on January 1st, the Brazilian was the first winter signing. Will there be others in Paris?

“We are always ready to bring talent to improve the squad”

Present at a press conference this Saturday before PSG’s Coupe de France match, Luis Enrique was asked about the rest of the winter transfer window. The Spaniard stated, “The transfer window ends on the 31st, it’s now January 6. We are always ready to bring talent to improve the squad, that’s obvious. But I repeat: I have a squad of a very high level with two players in each position.”

A midfielder for PSG?

PSG is therefore not ruling out anything, and this could lead to other signings in January. This is particularly likely in the midfield. While Gabriel Moscardo was expected to join Luis Enrique’s team, his foot injury has somewhat disrupted the plans of the Parisians. Another midfielder could therefore be recruited, and in the past few hours, there has been excitement about Bruno Guimaraes. Interested in the Newcastle player, PSG could consider triggering his release clause, set at €115m at Newcastle.
