Microsoft Reveals Next-Generation Flight Simulator for 2024 Launch

"Flight Simulator 2024": Microsoft announces new flight simulator

Microsoft recently announced the forthcoming release of Flight Simulator 2024. This latest version of the popular flight simulator comes with more activities beyond flying, such as skydiving, hot air balloon trips and rescue operations. Even cargo transport is included in the game. Microsoft is releasing Flight Simulator 2024 as a standalone game, not an update for the previous version. The game is expected to be released next year for Xbox Series X/S and PC, though there is no exact release date.

Unlike its predecessor, the developers of Flight Simulator 2024 have focused on non-flying game mechanics such as fire-fighting, air races, and NPCs. Players will be able to perform various missions and tasks in the game, which will result in the gradual unlocking of various career paths. Asobo, the game’s developer, incorporated NPCs that are realistically displayed like the rest of the game.

However, Microsoft has not abandoned the old flight simulator. The company recently announced an extension to the sci-fi universe “Dune”, which allows gamers to fly an ornithopter. This expansion is scheduled for November 3, the same day as the second Dune film by Denis Villeneuve.

Flight Simulator 2024 will offer more than just a flying experience as it explores other aspects of aviation and allows gamers to perform exciting missions and tasks. Microsoft’s latest flight simulator will undoubtedly be a game to look out for on Xbox Series X/S and PC next year.
