Apple Expands Mobile Device Management for Businesses
In order to make it easier for companies to use iPhones, iPads, and Macs, Apple is continually expanding functions related to mobile device management (MDM) and central provision of apps, settings, and documents. This ensures that network administrators have new and expanded options for monitoring and managing devices, whether they are provided by the company or used by employees for private and business activities.
Using iOS 16 and 17 in Business Operations
In a recent webinar, Mark Zimmermann, a mobile device specialist and technical author, provided insights on MDM in companies using iOS 16 and iOS 17. The webinar aimed to show administrators which functions they should know to maximize device management. The discussion focused on the capabilities and limitations of MDM profiles, insights relevant to IT managers relating to Declarative Device Management, and innovations in Apple’s Business Manager.
It also included updates on extended DNS proxy and web content filter profiles, and evaluations of the innovations of iOS 17 & Co. announced by Apple at WWDC 2023, particularly for companies. The 120-minute live webinar was intended for system and network administrators as well as IT managers in firms, providing detailed information about the inventory, configuration, and management of iOS and macOS devices.
