Mercato – PSG: A “top player” is set to arrive in Paris?

The Paris Saint-Germain is already preparing for the next summer transfer window and two young defenders have apparently caught the eye of Luis Campos. Sky Sport Italia recently mentioned the strong interest of Parisians in Leny Yoro, as well as in Antonio Silva, the new rising star from Benfica.

In Portugal, he is already being talked about as a future legend. At just 20 years old, the central defender has already become an undisputed starter at Benfica and is also starting to make a name for himself in the national team. This rapid rise has not gone unnoticed by PSG…

Yoro and Silva, PSG’s two targets

Transfer market specialist Gianluca Di Marzio recently announced that Antonio Silva would be highly appreciated at the capital club. He would thus be one of the top priorities for the upcoming summer transfer window, along with Leny Yoro, who has been the standout performer in the first half of the season at Lille. It is worth noting, however, that Benfica is reportedly asking for up to €100 million to let go of their prodigy, while it has been revealed that Lille would want at least €90 million from a potential sale of Yoro.

“He will stay at Benfica until the end of the season, that’s for sure”

Asked about the situation of his protégé, Jorge Mendes has opened the door to a possible departure of Antonio Silva at the end of the season. “He will stay at Benfica until the end of the season, that’s for sure, and then Rui Costa (Benfica’s president) will decide what is best to do. Then, just like for all other players, there will be meetings, discussions, and when the time comes, decisions will be made,” he said in an interview with Record. “If he is being followed by the biggest clubs in Europe? Of course, when we talk about a ‘top’ player, we are always talking about the best European clubs.”
