It’s almost a done deal: Lucas Beraldo will become a player for PSG this winter. The French club and Sao Paulo reportedly reached an agreement this Saturday, and the Brazilian central defender is expected to arrive in Paris next week to undergo his medical examination. This is PSG’s first transfer of the winter and it seems to be a great deal.
All that is left is for the official announcement to be made for Lucas Beraldo to become a Parisian. The Brazilian central defender will arrive at PSG in January for 20 million euros and is considered one of the rising stars of Brazilian football. His absence will leave a big void in the Brazilian team. According to experts, his arrival is a good catch for PSG, who are missing two central defenders due to Presnel Kimpembe’s recent surgery and Nuno Mendes’ injury. Beraldo is expected to undergo his medical examination in Paris next week before signing with the Parisian club.
“He is a defender who has enchanted the supporters and Brazilian football,” said Brazilian journalist Gabriel Sà, who originally sparked the first transfer rumors about Lucas Beraldo, when speaking to Le Parisien. “Surely the most beautiful rise of the club since Breno transferred to Bayern Munich in 2007. He established himself in the team after the injury of Nahuel Ferraresi, a player from the Venezuelan national team, and has not left since.”
