Mexico City – In a heart-wrenching tribute to her son, Julián Figueroa, Maribel Guardia took to Instagram as he would have turned 28 years old on May 2. Julián, the son of Mexican actress and singer, Maribel Guardia and legendary singer-songwriter Joan Sebastian, passed away on April 9.
Recalling the cherished memories with her son, the 63-year-old actress expressed her deep love and longing for him. Dear son, on May 2 you will be 28 years old. I miss you with a torn soul…I am left with so many unforgettable memories, wrote Guardia on her Instagram.
Figueroa’s sudden demise due to an acute myocardial infarction and ventricular fibrillation at his grandmother’s place in Jardines, Mexico City left his mother in utter shock. She was performing in the play ‘Lagunilla Mi Barrio’ at the time of the incident.
In her tribute, Guardia remembered her son for his soul full of light, sharp intelligence, talent, and black humor. She expressed gratitude for being able to raise Julián and know him as a person.
Describing the intense longing that she feels, Maribel also stated that she is sometimes unable to understand the ethereal planes. However, her vision of Julián, in which he hugged and conveyed peace of mind has given her a new perspective.
