Major Studio Developing New Star Wars Strategy Game

The Star Wars franchise has a long history of exciting video games across various genres. From action-packed adventure games to LEGO designs, single-player shooters, virtual reality games, and strategy titles, the franchise has it all. Recently, EA and Respawn have launched Star Wars Jedi Survivor, the first of three games designed to bid farewell to the galactic franchise. While the second game is rumored to be a first-person shooter and inspired by Star Wars Dark Forces, the third is known to be a real-time strategy (RTS) title.

Respawn and Bit Reactor are developing the highly anticipated RTS title, which has excited fans of installments such as Galactic Battlegrounds and Empire at War. Surprisingly, there seems to be another Star Wars RTS currently under development. An interesting article shared a ranking of the ten best video games based on the Star Wars saga, in which Empire at War was named one of the best. The author of the ranking also expressed his desire to play a new RTS based on the galactic saga, and there is one in development.

Andy Robinson, editor at VGC, hinted at the possibility of another Star Wars RTS being developed by a major studio. However, there are no further details about the developer, leading fans to speculate about the possibilities. With several companies working on their own Star Wars video games, the future of the franchise seems brighter than ever. Ubisoft Massive is preparing an open-world game, while Quantic Dream is working on Star Wars Eclipse, a narrative-driven action adventure.

Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds Saga and Empire at War remain two of the best Star Wars RTS games. As the franchise continues to expand with new content, including shows on Disney+ and reworking of the strategy in theaters, fans can look forward to a slew of exciting games to come.
