Less than 200 days until the Paris 2024 Games: Team France Olympic and Paralympic uniforms for Paris 2024 revealed

The French Team heading towards Paris 2024

The French National Olympic and Sports Committee (CNOSF), the French Paralympic and Sports Committee (CPSF), and Paris 2024 invited over 150 athletes from the French Team for a symbolic step towards the perspective of the Paris 2024 Games: revealing the official outfits of the Olympic and Paralympic French teams signed by Le Coq Sportif.

At the Maison du Sport français, Astrid Guyart, Secretary General of the CNOSF and co-chair of the High-Level Athletes Committee, Elie Patrigeon, General Director of the CPSF, and Michael Jérémiasz, Chief of Mission for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, stressed on how the outfits signed by Le Coq Sportif are aligned with the united philosophy of the French Team.

These outfits, born from a close collaboration between the Paris 2024 teams, Le Coq Sportif, Official Partner of the Paris 2024 Games, the CNOSF, the CPSF, and the federations involved in bringing this project to life, will be worn by all athletes, Olympians and Paralympians, during the Games.

“These outfits are historical and will be remembered for 50 years! We must live up to our athletes’ dreams, and that’s why we have mobilized the best sporting expertise through our federations, in connection with the Gagner en France project, alongside the best of French creativity and textile know-how with the commitment of Le Coq Sportif, and finally, the athletes who we have placed at the heart of this journey so that they can achieve their best performance on the day of the Games!” Astrid Guyart, Secretary General of the CNOSF.

“These outfits have a very strong symbolism. Since the Tokyo 2020 Games, they represent the culmination of four years of work for the athletes, they carry sweat, blood, tears, they witness their greatest emotions… The CPSF is delighted to see these representative and aesthetic performance outfits unveiled tonight, adapted to all body types and all Paralympic disciplines.” Elie Patrigeon, General Director of the CPSF.

“Wearing the outfit is far from trivial for an athlete, and even essential before a competition. With Le Coq Sportif, the partner and sports equipment supplier for Paris 2024, we are very happy to unveil the outfits of the Olympic and Paralympic French Team, in close collaboration with the sports movement. With these outfits, our athletes will proudly wear the tricolors. Congratulations and thank you to Le Coq Sportif for promoting French know-how and taking up this monumental challenge by producing the 150,000 pieces that will make up the outfits. I am delighted that we are taking this new step together!” Tony Estanguet, President of Paris 2024.

A historic project for the French Team

Since winning the bid in 2019, the French brand, Le Coq Sportif, has worked with the teams of Paris 2024, the CNOSF, and the CPSF to outfit the entire French delegation, Olympians and Paralympians, totaling 900 athletes, during the Paris 2024 Games.

This initiative is in line with the new identity of the French Team, revealed before the Winter Games in Beijing 2022, which already allowed the Olympic and Paralympic athletes to display a single emblem: a conquering, determined, combative rooster, looking towards victory. An embodiment of the national symbol, no longer in profile, but facing forward for the first time in a century.

The fusion of blue, white, and red, a symbol of unity and diversity

192 days from the opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Games, this presentation dedicated to the athletes represents an additional step on the path to this historic event. Stéphane Ashpool, Artistic Director of the French Team collections at Le Coq Sportif, detailed the process of creating and designing the outfits, as well as the artistic and technical challenge that it represented.

A collection that symbolizes unity and diversity, particularly through the mix of materials and colors, expressed in an innovative and dynamic gradient. Finally, from outfits worn by the delegation on podiums, in the Athletes’ Village, during closing ceremonies, media events, and at celebration sites, to training outfits dedicated to preparation times, all the way to competition outfits in certain disciplines, the entire collection was presented in a fashion show in which the athletes took part.

All information about the collection is available on the following link.

The collection revealed today will be available in Le Coq Sportif stores, on the brand’s website, and in the official Paris 2024 stores.
