League of Legends Project L: Exciting Updates for 2023, But Won’t Appear at EVO Fighting Game Championship.

Riot Games, the developer behind the popular MOBA game League of Legends, made a successful move into the world of tactical shooters with its hit title, Valorant. Now, the company is setting its sights on yet another genre: fighting games.

The upcoming game, known as Project L, was announced some time ago, but details have been scant. In a recent update, senior director and executive producer Tom Cannon confirmed that news about the game’s development will be forthcoming throughout 2023. However, he also ruled out the possibility of showcasing the game at EVO Japan 2023.

According to Cannon, the reason behind the relatively early announcement of Project L was to solicit feedback from fans about the new game. Riot Games is new to the world of fighting games, and the company wants to ensure that it is building something that players will enjoy.

Despite the lack of concrete information, we do know that Project L will feature popular League of Legends champions such as Jinx, Darius, Ecko, Ahri, and Illaoi. Additionally, the game will be free to play.

For fans of League of Legends, the wait for Project L may be made more bearable by the upcoming release of another LoL spin-off called The Mageseeker: A League of Legends Story. Developed by Spanish studio Moonlighter, this game is set to be released in April.
