The Minds Mastering Machines 2023 conference will be held on May 10th and 11th in Karlsruhe. The conference is organized by iX, heise Developer, and dpunkt.verlag. Early bird discounts for the conference have been extended until March 27th, giving those interested in attending more time to purchase tickets at a discounted price.
This year’s conference will be the sixth edition of the machine learning conference, which is a specialist conference for data scientists, data engineers, and developers who turn machine learning projects into reality. The conference will provide attendees with deep insights into the concepts of ML and the current developments and challenges for AI projects.
The conference program will feature more than 30 lectures on various topics spanning three tracks over two days. Key topics that will be covered include Resilience, Cybersecurity, AI Act, and Large Language Models. Attendees will have the opportunity to gain insights into Federated learning, Artificial General Intelligence (AGI), and the Artificial Intelligence Act (EU AI Act), among others.
The opening keynote for this year’s conference is titled “Ethical questions about conversational AI – A search for the ‘Truth’?” and it will be presented by award-winning data science professor Anne Lauscher. During the keynote, Lauscher will examine the shortcomings of conversational AI systems, including their tendency to produce factually incorrect statements and adopt stereotypes and prejudices. She will also explore the underlying causes of these issues.
Tickets for the conference are currently available at the early bird price of 899 euros, with a deadline for purchase extended to March 27th. In addition to the conference, two workshops will be held on May 9th: “MLOps – how to get an ML model into production and keep it there?” and “Step by Step to Explainable AI”. The cost for each workshop is 549 euros.
