Karl Lagerfeld’s Paris Apartment to be Auctioned for €5.3 Million

The Parisian apartment of fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld, who died in February 2019, will be auctioned on March 26, 2024 for a price of 5.3 million euros, as reported by Agence France-Presse (AFP) on Tuesday, March 5.

The 260 m² three-room apartment is located in a 17th-century building on Quai Voltaire, in the heart of historic Paris, with a stunning view of the Seine and the Louvre Museum. The main room of 120 m2 includes numerous backlit libraries. The bedroom area facing the courtyard features a room with movable partitions, attached to a dressing room of over 50 m2.

The fashion designer lived in this apartment for about ten years until his death. He completely renovated it “in a futuristic style with concrete floors and frosted glass panels,” according to Thomas Jousselin, a notary associated with the Althemis study.

The sale will take place at the Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as well as online and by phone. Access rights are conditioned by a deposit of 1.06 million euros, the notary told AFP.
