Conference: Software Architecture Alliance program is online

The preliminary program for the Software Architecture Alliance conference, held in Munich on September 27th and 28th, 2023, is now available online. This conference, organized by Heise subsidiary SIGS DATACOM, is in its third year and offers over 25 lectures and workshops for participants to choose from. Those who book their tickets before September 1st can take advantage of the early bird rate.

The Software Architecture Alliance (SAA) aims to provide a contemporary conference for software architecture that is not isolated to a specific role, seen as an exact science, or dismissed as a theoretical matter. The SAA recognizes that software architecture is essential for software systems and has a direct or indirect impact on all roles in IT. It affects the satisfaction of developers, the flexibility of the system, the structure of development departments, and the process models used. The SAA strives to create an interactive learning and networking space through the selection of main topics, learning paths, format design, and program development.

The conference program includes lectures and workshops on various topics, such as architecture documentation, API development, domain-driven design, evolutionary system development, and dealing with legacy systems. The list of speakers represents prominent figures in the German-speaking software architecture scene. The conference will begin with a keynote speech by Erik Dörneburg from Thoughtworks, who will explore concepts such as carbon efficiency and awareness and discuss methods and software tools for measuring and reducing carbon footprint.

Participants can take advantage of the early bird ticket, priced at 749 euros for both conference days. From September 2nd, the ticket price will increase to 849 euros. Additionally, a 3-for-2 ticket option is available for 1698 euros, allowing a team or company to send three people for the price of two. More information on the program and ticket benefits can be found on the conference website.
