iX-Workshop KRITIS: Enhanced Competence for Special Test Procedure under § 8a BSIG (Last Call)

iX-Workshop KRITIS: Special test procedure competence for § 8a BSIG (Last Call)

Critical infrastructures (KRITIS) are vital components of both private and public institutions and come with specific security requirements. To address this, § 8a paragraph 1 BSIG has developed special security provisions. These requirements ensure the data and systems of these institutions remain secure at all times and can withstand any potential attacks.

To further address the need for high-security standards in KRITIS, iX is hosting a two-day workshop titled “Special test procedure competence for § 8a BSIG” on May 23 and 24, 2023. Upon completing the course and passing the final exam, participants will receive certification and the additional qualification to conduct security checks in accordance with § 8a of the law of the Federal Office for Information Security.

The online workshop is designed for in-house auditors, auditors with IT auditing experience, and employees of auditing bodies and KRITIS operators. The workshop is limited to only 12 participants to ensure an optimal exchange and preparation for the examination and certification.

Following the BSI training concept, Christin Nebauer from the consulting firm HiSolutions, a certified lead auditor according to ISO 27001, will be the speaker at the workshop. The two-day event will provide an in-depth understanding of the frameworks and processes required to enable participants to carry out security checks independently.
