Introducing OnlyOffice DocSpace: An Innovative Open Source Collaboration Tool

OnlyOffice DocSpace: New open source application for collaboration

OnlyOffice, a software company, has launched a new application called DocSpace to provide users with a better way of collaborating on documents. DocSpace offers predefined rooms with authorizations to allow companies to collect files for specific projects and invite relevant parties without going through the tedious processes of manual compiling and sharing of documents. Other applications included in OnlyOffice are also available in DocSpace such as real-time collaboration on a document in word processing, video calls, and chat features.

The administrator can adjust the authorizations of the rooms and users, allowing guests reading rights or enabling certain employees to edit, check or fill out forms. OnlyOffice also plans to introduce special rooms for confidential files, including encryption. The DocSpace application is available in the cloud version with a limited free license in terms of users and rooms while the business version removes limitations starting at 15 euros per month and user.

However, the private cloud usage is not yet available, but it is planned as an option. The DocSpace application, like OnlyOffice, appears as open source software, providing users with an added level of flexibility. It allows for companies to operate the software themselves, providing more control over its usage.

OnlyOffice’s DocSpace application is an ideal option for users who need a robust, efficient and secure application to streamline their collaboration and document-sharing processes. It’s also perfect for businesses that want to work in a closed environment where all files remain confidential.
