Behind-the-Scenes Drama in ‘Interview with a Vampire’ Season 2
With just a few days left until the filming of ‘Interview with a Vampire season 2 starts, there is already some drama happening behind-the-scenes. The young actress, Bailey Bass, who plays Claudia, has announced her departure from the vampire series.
Bailey Bass made her television debut with ‘Law and Order: SVU’ and then appeared in the adaptation of Anne Rice’s novels as Claudia, the young woman turned into a vampire by Lestat (Sam Reid). However, the role of Claudia will now be taken on by British actress Delainey Hayles.
Reasons Behind the Departure
The reasons for Bass’s departure have not been clarified. Both the actress and AMC, the chain responsible for the adaptation, have spoken about “a variety of circumstances” but didn’t give any further details.
Bass said, Due to a variety of unforeseen circumstances, I am unable to return to ‘Interview with the Vampire’ for Season 2. Playing Claudia has been a dream role and an incredible journey. I wish Delainey the best of luck in taking command. I can’t wait to see it.”
Season 2 Filming Details
The filming for season 2 of ‘Interview with the Vampire’ is scheduled to start this week in Prague. It will also shoot on location in Paris and New Orleans.
Alongside newcomer Delainey, season 2 stars Jacob Anderson, Sam Reid, and Eric Bogosian. Fans of the series can’t wait to see what drama and twist the next season will bring.
