In Paris, QR Code Required to Move on Foot or by Vehicle in Certain Zones During the Olympics

The police chief of Paris, Laurent Nuñez, has detailed the security measures that will be put in place for the Olympics. There will be four different perimeters established around the Olympic sites. The first will only allow accredited individuals or those with a ticket to enter. The second will require everyone to be checked, with the exception of residents, except for the opening ceremony. The third and fourth perimeters will apply to motor vehicles, with the aim of restricting transit traffic.

The restrictions will only be activated during the actual competition times, starting 2.5 hours before and ending 1 hour after. Additionally, there will be a platform for pre-registration to obtain a QR code for access to the restricted areas. This will require providing various forms of documentation. For those who do not have access to the internet, alternative methods of obtaining a permit will be available.

The platform for obtaining a QR code will be open by April at the latest, ensuring that everyone has the necessary permit to access the restricted areas.
