Huge traffic jams in Paris on the eve of holidays: over 400 km of congestion

On Thursday, December 21, the traffic jams in Paris and surrounding areas reached an exceptional level with already 408 kilometers of traffic at 5:20 pm. The situation is particularly difficult on the Peripherique and A6A towards Paris due to accidents and breakdowns.

Bison Futé also predicts heavy traffic on Friday and Saturday, with the recommendation to avoid traveling after 10 am on Friday and after 6 am on Saturday.

For those returning to Paris after Christmas, Tuesday, December 26 is expected to have difficult traffic, with the suggestion to enter the Île-de-France before 2 pm to avoid the worst of the disruptions.
