Housekeeper Assaulted by Three Fake Deliverymen

Three individuals broke into an apartment in the 16th arrondissement of Paris, attacking the nanny of the children present. The criminals escaped, but an investigation has been opened, revealed the Paris prosecutor’s office to CNEWS on Wednesday, October 25.

In the afternoon of Tuesday, October 24, three individuals arrived at around 2pm at the door of a residence in the 16th arrondissement of Paris, posing as deliverymen, revealed the Paris prosecutor’s office to CNEWS.

“On site was a housekeeper, whom the intruders pinned to the ground while pointing a weapon at her,” continued the prosecutor’s office.

A baby was sleeping in a room, which the attackers did not enter. While rummaging through the premises during the home invasion, they stole at least one valuable watch before fleeing in a car, in front of witnesses, despite the resistance of the victim.

A misunderstanding with undercover police

Quickly alerted, the father of the family returned to his home. Once reassured about the safety of his child, he came out armed with a hammer and attacked the plainclothes police officers who had come to take statements, thinking they were the attackers. “The misunderstanding was cleared up,” stated the prosecutor’s office.

An investigation has been opened for armed robbery, committed by a group, using false identity (note: using false identity means pretending to be someone else), and accompanied by sequestration. It has been entrusted to the 1st district of the judicial police.
