Many football, and not only football, responsibilities will be present on March 20th in Saint-Denis for the draw of the football tournaments.
Wednesday evening in Saint-Denis, a lot of important figures are expected for the draw of the football tournaments at the Paris Olympics. Thierry Henry and Hervé Renard, in charge of the men’s and women’s teams for France, will be there to learn more about their opponents. The President of Paris 2024, Tony Estanguet, is also announced.
The draw will be conducted by Javier Saviola (ARG, 2004 Olympic Football champion), Didier Drogba (CIV, 2012 Champions League winner), Stéphanie Labbé (CAN, 2020 Olympic Football champion) and Marie-José Perec (1992 and 1996 Olympic champion in the 400m, and 1996 Olympic champion in the 200m).
The French men’s team will play in Marseille for the opening match, while the women’s team will be in Lyon.
Many football personalities will be attending the event, such as Arsène Wenger, Youri Djorkaeff, Olivier Dacourt, and players from the 1984 Olympic Football champion French team.
The French team, expected to be without Kylian Mbappé, will start their tournament in Marseille on July 24th before playing in Nice, and then again at the Vélodrome. As for the women’s team, their first match of the Olympics will be at the Groupama Stadium on July 25th. The draw will begin at 8 pm.
