Hallescher FC’s New Sports Director Sobotzik Optimistic Following Draw Against Cologne

Hallescher FC: New sports director there – Sobotzik sees a draw against Cologne

The HFC, led by new coach Sreto Ristic, remained undefeated in their fifth game despite missing three regular players in their match against Viktoria Köln. However, they missed out on the opportunity to secure a win and had to settle for a 2-2 draw instead.

The game saw all the goals scored after the change, with Tunay Deniz scoring the first goal of the game in the 49th minute. However, Patrick Sontheimer managed to equalize with a left-footed shot in the 69th minute.

Dominik Steczyk put the hosts back in front with a sweeper in the 74th minute, but Halle’s hopes of victory were dashed once again when substitute André Becker scored an equalizer in the 84th minute.

Meanwhile, former Bundesliga professional Thomas Sobotzik was seen in the stands following the HFC draw. He is expected to succeed the current sports director, Ralf Minge, and the announcement is expected to be made official later this week.

Before the game, there was good news for HFC fans as Captain Jonas Nietfeld extended his contract with the club until 2026.
