This week’s edition of the “Weekly” focuses on Google’s AI chatbot Bard. The tech group unveiled Bard at the Google I/O developer conference and it has been available to individuals in the US and UK since March via a waiting list. However, with the I/O, Google has now eliminated the waiting list and made Bard available in 180 countries. Unfortunately for Germany and the rest of the EU, they will have to wait due to stricter data protection regulations.
Jan-Keno Janssen, c’t editor and creator of the video format c’t 3003, had the opportunity to extensively test Bard and discusses his experiences in the podcast. Additionally, the MIT Technology Review podcast feed has added the “Weekly” as their third podcast format. In “Deep Dive”, editors explore a topic from the magazine once a month, while “Unscripted” is a monthly interview format that focuses on personalities from science, technology, and society.
“Weekly” is a news format that completes the podcast offer and you can find an overview of all three formats on their website. For more information, listen to the full episode as an audio stream on their RSS feed.
