Giant Temporary Statue of Kid Cudi Installed at Place de la Bourse to Celebrate His New Album

A massive statue of rapper Kid Cudi was installed in Paris on Friday, January 12th. This work of art is located at the exit of the Bourse metro station, outside the Palais Brongniart.

The over ten-meter-tall statue depicts the artist in a half-messianic, half-demonic pose, with red eyes and a mouth that lights up. Kid Cudi celebrated the release of his new album “Insano” with a live performance at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles.

The album, which includes 21 tracks and features collaborations with artists like A$AP Rocky, Travis Scott, and Pharrell Williams, has received widespread attention.

Kid Cudi, who will turn 40 at the end of January, has been ambiguous about his future career plans, stating that he’s not sure what he will do after the release of a new album.

Kid Cudi has also announced the release of a book in 2024, described as an honest memoir that will explore themes of sex, drugs, love, faith, and melodies.

Known for breaking traditional rap conventions, Kid Cudi has been open about his struggles with depression since the beginning of his career 15 years ago. He has a unique sense of style, regularly attending Paris Fashion Week and serving as the creative director for the brand Members of the Rage. As an influencer for Levi’s and featuring in HBO’s “We Are Who We Are,” Kid Cudi has embraced a variety of creative pursuits outside of his music.
