Frozen Pitch at Charléty causes Paris FC Women’s Match against Le Havre to be Postponed

The Paris FC Féminin had a busy schedule for the end of January with a trip to BK Häcken for the 5th day of the Champions League on Wednesday 24, an 8th round of the French Cup in Le Havre on Saturday 27, and the reception of Chelsea on Tuesday 30 to close the group stage of the European Cup.

But the team’s match for the 13th day of D1 against Le Havre was postponed on Friday due to the state of the Charléty stadium’s pitch, which was frozen and unplayable.

The state of the Charléty pitch has raised concerns, as it has deteriorated at the beginning of the year during matches against Annecy in L2 on January 13 and Bordeaux on January 14 in the women’s French Cup, even though it was redone in hybrid this summer, which forced the Parisian club to play in Troyes for 4 matches.

President Pierre Ferracci expressed his anger in a video, stating that the situation is unacceptable and that there may be a need for a change of the pitch. The club is urging the Charléty management and the city of Paris’s youth and sports department to take responsibility and find a solution without delay.
