Floods Under Control: All Transport Links to Paris and London Operational on Sunday

Eurostar has announced that all train services will resume from Sunday to and from London St Pancras International. The flooded tracks in southern England had forced the cancellation of all services, leaving thousands of passengers stranded on the eve of New Year’s celebrations.

The flood in the Thames tunnels has been contained, according to Eurostar, meaning at least one tunnel can now be used and a full service can operate. However, some speed restrictions will be in place in the morning, which could lead to delays and the stations are likely to be very busy. Customers are encouraged to visit Eurostar’s website for more information on compensation rights.

All Eurostar trains to and from London were cancelled on Saturday, leaving approximately 30,000 passengers stranded on the eve of New Year’s festivities.
