First Woman to Complete the Barkley Marathons: Jasmin Paris and Five Total Finishers in 2024

The 2024 edition of the Barkley Marathons has ended. Jasmin Paris became the first woman to finish the race, with a total of five finishers this year.

At 1 minute and 39 seconds before the gong, Jasmin Paris managed to complete the Barkley Marathons, an ultra-trail of about 160 km to be completed in less than 60 hours in Tennessee, USA.

Keith Dunn, who reports on X (formerly Twitter) about the participants’ every move in this mysterious race, confirmed the competitor’s time: 59 hours, 58 minutes, and 21 seconds.

In addition to Jasmin Paris, who made history in the race, four other competitors managed to finish the race. This is the highest total of “finishers” in the race. In 2023, there were three, including the Frenchman Aurélien Sanchez, who was forced to abandon on that edition.

The last Frenchman in the race, Sébastien Raichon, had to abandon during the fifth loop.
