Fifteen individuals arrested in Paris for vandalizing with swastikas

A group of fifteen individuals was arrested on Saturday, November 25 in the evening in the 17th arrondissement of Paris, on rue de Tocqueville, near the intersection of Boulevard Pereire, for painting swastikas on the ground with spray paint, according to our information. They were apprehended by the contact brigade of the 17th district police station during an intervention for mortar fire. Several of them are said to be on a watchlist. “From initial investigations, some of the individuals arrested are known to intelligence services for their affiliation with the far right,” a police source revealed.

Geoffroy Boulard, the mayor of the 17th arrondissement of Paris, expressed satisfaction at the arrest of 15 individuals affiliated with the far-right movement. “Glorifying terrorism and promoting Nazism in our streets is an inexcusable act that must be punished by the justice system with the necessary severity, especially in the context of a rise in anti-Semitic acts in France since October 7, particularly in the 17th district with tags and inscriptions discovered on streets Boursault and Avenue de Clichy in early November.”
