Featherweight began playing guitar during his adolescence and was influenced by the music surrounding his family at the time, where he enjoyed interpreting songs by Ariel Camacho. Together with his cousin Roberto Tito Laija, he started writing music and released his first live album in 2020 titled Disco en Vivo through El Cartel de Los Angeles.
