The Rise of Daniel Heber in FCM
The fans now shout his name as naturally as he reads the starting eleven, as if he had been with FCM for years. Daniel Heber, a central defender, only came from Essen in mid-January, but he arrived in Magdeburg really quickly. He fought for a regular place in the Titz-Elf in a short time with his numerous rescue operations and experience.
The team loves him, and he loves them back. “I was well-received,” says Heber. “So far, I’ve been able to show what I’m capable of, especially defensively I tried to fight away a lot. It’s getting better and better.”
Despite only being there for a short time, Heber has explored the city and learned to love it. “I feel very comfortable here in the city with my small family, but also in the team.” Heber has been taking walks through the Magdeburg parks with his two French bulldogs, enjoying the scenery.
After a slip-up in a recent game against Fürth (0:3), Heber remains unfazed, saying, “It’s always going on. Now we have two weeks off and we have to get our minds off the game and build on what we showed the weeks before.”
Heber has made a name for himself in FCM, proving his worth in a short amount of time. His contributions and love for the city and team are valuable assets that make him a fan-favorite.
