Bayern Basketball Players Eyeing Europe’s Top Players with Mega Deal
President Herbert Hainer announced a mega deal on Tuesday wherein Siegmund has extended its role as the main sponsor until 2025, with an option for another year. The Bayern boss, speaking in front of the company employees at the headquarters in Swabia, Bavaria, declares, “Our goal is to be at the top both in Germany and in Europe.”
In the BBL, the cup winner has a good chance of winning the sixth championship title, while the EuroLeague is also within the team’s sight despite many injuries to regular players, with two strong years recently in the quarterfinals.
Hainer adds that, “in the last few years, we’ve made it into the top eight twice done in Europe. That means we’re pretty close. But in the EuroLeague, we still need a bit of the general conditions. Barcelona and Madrid have higher budgets than us, and we have to compensate for that with creativity.”
Siegmund’s Cash to Fuel Team’s European Attack
Hainer confirms that Siegmund’s cash will help with the European attack next season. The Bayern boss appreciates the fruitful collaboration with Siegmund, and the cup win shouldn’t have been the last title together.

Trinchieri’s Future with Bayern Still Uncertain
As for coach Andrea Trinchieri, who’s contract expires soon, Hainer said, “Andrea is a volcano on the sidelines. He has an uncanny basketball expertise. I think he also developed the team. We’re going to wait until the end of the season to analyze and question all of that in detail. Then we will make the right decision.”
