Excitement in Australia as Mysterious Object Identified as Washed Up Rocket Stage

"Mysterious object": Excitement in Australia about washed up rocket stage

Experts in Australia have been trying to determine the origin of a mysterious object that washed up on a beach north of Perth. According to Reddit users on the subreddit r/whatisthisthing, the object is likely to be the third stage of an Indian rocket, specifically a PSLV (Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle). This theory was backed up by a comparison image posted on the subreddit, which showed the similarities between the object and an Indian PSLV. However, the Australian space agency is still investigating the object’s origins and has not ruled out the possibility that it could be the remains of a foreign rocket.

The object, which measures around two and a half meters in height, was discovered on a remote beach in Western Australia on Saturday. Local authorities immediately cordoned off the area and sought assistance from the military. The Western Australia Police Force has stated that the object will be treated as dangerous until its provenance can be determined, urging people to stay away. Despite the probable identification of the object on Reddit, investigations are ongoing to determine the exact launch from which it originated.

Local police have deemed the object safe since Monday, but it continues to be guarded. The Prime Minister of Western Australia has expressed a desire to have it removed from the beach soon. While the mystery of the object’s origin may have been solved on Reddit, official investigations are still underway to confirm its identity.
