Eve Introduces Matter-Certified Devices and Firmware Upgrade for Current Customers

Eve: First Matter-certified devices and firmware update for existing customers

Smart home device manufacturer Eve has rolled out its first Matter-enabled devices. The Eve Energy socket models certified for the new control standard are now available for Europe, the United Kingdom, and North America. In April, the company will release factory Matter-enabled versions of the Eve Motion motion sensor and Eve Door & Window contact sensor, along with free firmware updates with Matter support for existing HomeKit and Thread-enabled Eve Energy, Eve Motion and Eve Door & Window models.

These Matter-enabled devices can be controlled with various voice assistants and cross-platform with Apple or Android devices. The devices should be reliably accessible with the help of a thread mesh network, in which smart home devices are networked with each other.

Users who are already using Thread-capable Eve products in their smart home and wish to use Matter technology in the future can download a free firmware update that can be installed via the Eve app for iPhone and iPad. Eve and its devices work without a manufacturer cloud or registry. All user and usage data are only stored in encrypted form on the iOS and HomeKit devices and in the iCloud.

The factory Matter-enabled Eve Energy is available now at a price of €39.95. The Matter-certified models of Eve Door & Window and Eve Motion will be available from April 17 for €49.95. The company aims to provide an effective and safe solution for smart homes with the latest innovative technology.
