Discover the Casino stores changing their brand in Paris and the surrounding suburbs

The world of large distribution is about to undergo a major upheaval. The Casino group has gone bankrupt and is forced to sell all its establishments throughout France. In Paris and the surrounding area, nearly 25 stores will change their branding, either becoming Intermarché or Auchan. Among them was one of the cheapest stores in the capital.

Nine stores in Paris will be affected, six of which will become Intermarché. These include stores in the 2nd, 9th, 12th, 13th, and 20th arrondissements. The store in the 13th arrondissement, located on Boulevard Masséna, was actually one of the cheapest stores in the capital in 2022, according to UFC-Que Choisir. The remaining three Casino stores, one in the 15th and two in the 16th arrondissement, will be rebranded as Auchan.

In the surrounding areas of Paris, 25 Casino stores will change their branding. In Hauts-de-Seine, the stores in Bagneux, Suresnes, Châtenay-Malabry, and Asnières-sur-Seine will become Intermarché. In Clichy, only one Casino store will become Intermarché, while the other will become Auchan.

In Seine-Saint-Denis, Le Blanc-Mesnil, Pantin, and Les Lilas will see Intermarché stores replacing Géant Casino. An Auchan will replace the Casino in Sevran.

Finally, in Val-de-Marne, Intermarché will take the place of Casino in Boissy-Saint-Léger, Fresnes, Choisy-le-Roi, Saint-Maur-des-Fossés, and Villejuif. Only the Casino in Maisons-Alfort will become an Auchan store. The change is not expected to lead to a massive loss of jobs, according to unions.
