Davitashvili and Diaz Lead Bordeaux to Victory [Player by Player Analysis Bordeaux-Paris FC]

Albert Riera made a decision to change his entire defense to include Biumla, who had just returned from a muscle injury. This decision backfired as it destabilized the team and Bordeaux conceded two goals. Biumla was substituted at halftime, potentially due to a recurring muscle issue, and the team reverted to a familiar organization. This decision also meant there was one less player on the bench, limiting offensive options for the team. Perhaps bringing in a player from the reserve team like Pirringuel could have provided more attacking options.

Kalle Johnsson made 4 saves, including 3 in the penalty area. He conceded a penalty that he couldn’t save, and like in the previous game against Annecy, he let in 3 goals.

Clément Michelin played as a left-back in the first half and then switched to right-back in the second half. He struggled in the first 45 minutes, losing possession 19 times.

Yoann Barbet, the team captain, had a difficult first half with poor timing in many plays, including those leading to goals conceded. However, he redeemed himself by scoring a superb free-kick goal in the second half, his 5th goal of the season.

Malcom Bokele was uncomfortable playing as a right-back in the first half, and both goals came from his side. Switching to center-back in the second half helped him find his footing, and he provided the assist for the first goal.

Emmanuel Biumla, returning from a muscle injury, made a defensive error leading to Paris FC’s first goal. He was substituted at halftime, possibly due to a physical setback from returning too soon.

Pedro Diaz played as a defensive midfielder alongside Pitu, impressing with his fight by winning 11 duels, 9 of them on the ground. He scored a fantastic 25-meter goal with his right foot.

Gaetan Weissbeck was quiet in the first half but had a scoring opportunity in the second half and saw more involvement.

Alexi Pitu was active and eager to drive the team’s offensive play but struggled to win duels.

Jérémy Livolant, like many teammates, was off during the first half but became more involved in the second. Despite hitting the post with a shot, he lost possession too many times.

Zuriko Davitashvili made an impact with a beautiful equalizing goal and the assist for Diaz’s goal. He was determined and energized the team.

Zan Vipotnik had a forgettable game, barely making an impact and touching the ball only 13 times in 79 minutes.

Overall, Bordeaux’s performance against Paris FC had its highs and lows, with individual performances shining through amidst some shortcomings on the field.
