A customer at the Ritz in Paris has filed a complaint for rape during a massage in January 2024. The Ritz is a famous five-star hotel located in Place Vendôme, close to the Ministry of Justice. The young 26-year-old woman explained to a Parisian police station that the incident occurred recently on January 24th.
The complainant had made an appointment for a massage session at the “Ritz Club & Spa.” The masseur who was responsible for the service allegedly massaged her chest for a long time before raping her four times while she was lying on her back, “shocked and paralyzed.” She stated that she pushed away the attacker’s hand when he tried to touch her intimate areas.
Upon the advice of her family, she decided to file a complaint. On Monday, March 4th, the Paris prosecutor’s office confirmed to journalists from BFMTV and France Info that a preliminary investigation for rape had been opened and entrusted to the judicial police.
The Ritz has stated that the masseur named in the complaint no longer works at the establishment. The hotel also emphasized that “the safety of its clients and employees is paramount.” The Ritz Paris is cooperating transparently with the authorities to provide all available information regarding the situation, stated the hotel’s management to the press.
