C’t Workshop: GitLab for Achieving Efficient CI/CD Techniques

c't workshop: learn and deepen CI/CD with GitLab

Continuous integration and continuous delivery, also known as “CI/CD”, has become a driving force in modern software development. Those who have switched to this model would not want to go without it. For those who use the software development platform GitLab, they have access to powerful tools that enable them to manage continuous workflows and benefit from the development model.

For software developers who are unfamiliar with GitLab’s CI/CD tools, or those who want to deepen their knowledge of them, the c’t workshop “CI/CD with GitLab” is an excellent opportunity. With practical exercises on their own GitLab instances, participants will learn how to build, test, and continuously publish software projects using GitLab CI.

Participants will manage both the “pipelines” for the CI/CD workflow and the source code of the projects using GitLab. Although basic experience with continuous integration or delivery, independent of GitLab, is necessary, all that is required is an up-to-date web browser, basic command line knowledge, and a working SSH client.

The event takes place online on March 30, 2023, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The workshop costs 880.00 euros. Those who wish to secure one of the few remaining spots can find further details and registration information on the relevant heise events page.
