Continuing to Wear our World Cup Failure Jerseys Against Peru and Belgium: DFB’s Decision

DFB: Against Peru and Belgium: That's why we continue to play in the World Cup failure jerseys

The German national team will wear World Cup jerseys in the upcoming games against Peru and Belgium, despite the bitter elimination in the preliminary round. Unfortunately, the development and production of new jerseys takes time, so the new shirts for the home European Championship will only come at a later point in time.

Adidas spokesman Oliver Brüggen has confirmed that the DFB team will wear the current national jerseys for the upcoming international matches, and that the jerseys for EURO 2024 will be presented in due course.

In their match against Peru in Mainz, Joshua Kimmich and the team will wear the white home jersey with a black vertical bar. Meanwhile, the DFB boys will don the black away jersey against Belgium in Cologne.

However, there is a fresh and new DFB jersey available to fans and players. Adidas recently presented the women’s jersey for the World Cup in Australia and New Zealand in the summer, and it is green! The design of the new away jersey is inspired by the deep green colors of the different forest areas of the country, from the Black Forest to the Magic Forest.

Chic green has always been a tradition for the DFB away jerseys, and it might be an inspiration for the upcoming men’s European Championship jerseys as well. In the meantime, we’ll have to endure the memory of the World Cup a little longer with the current national jerseys.
