Coach Svensson: Mainz 05 finds relief in Bell’s performance

Mainz 05 breathes a sigh of relief at Bell! “We were lucky,” says coach Svensson

Mainz 05 breathed a sigh of relief after Stefan Bell’s recent accident in training seemed to have no consequences. The 31-year-old defense chief got stuck in the grass and twisted his left knee in a training session last Thursday. Fortunately, after being examined and treated intensively, it was deemed that there were no major issues.

Coach Bo Svensson initially feared the worst, stating that the injury looked nasty even after reviewing the video footage. However, he was relieved to learn that everything was safe after Bell underwent medical evaluation.

Despite the cautious approach taken by Svensson, he plans to include Bell in the starting XI on Sunday’s match against Freiburg. The coach believes that the veteran defender knows his body and feels good enough to play.

Mainz 05 fans can now rest easy, knowing that one of the key members of their team is healthy and ready to take on the next game.
