Cloud Native Festival 2023: Engaging Workshops and Entertaining Parties at CloudLand

CloudLand 2023: Interactive workshops and party time at the Cloud Native Festival

CloudLand 2023 is a much-awaited festival that will take place from June 20th to 23rd, 2023, at Phantasialand, in Brühl. The event will focus on networking, interactive cooperation, and sharing first-hand experiences in four different areas: container & cloud technologies, microservices & Domain-driven design, DevOps & methodology, and CI/CD & automation.

The DOAG organization team has put together a varied and multifaceted program that offers numerous interactive workshops, hands-on sessions, and open discussions to the German-speaking Cloud Native Community.

The festival offers over 200 highlights over the four days, giving participants a free choice of interactive tutorials that impart practical know-how about cloud-native projects. Participants who “haven’t really been able to do anything with the cloud” will have the opportunity to delve into the world of Kubernetes, containers, DDD, and AWS at the OpenKnowledge workshop.

The Google workshop “Kubernetes from 0 to 100 in one day” provides a quick start for those looking to get more experience in cloud-native platforms. For advanced topics such as security or production-ready application deployment in the cloud, interactive tutorials such as “More secure in Kubernetes – with Kyverno” or “Easily deploy apps with Cloud Foundry” provide helpful guidance.

Participants will not only be learning but also having fun at the Gaming Night, a night full of entertainment with activities such as the CloudLand Jeopardy quiz, musical experiments with the Raspberry Pi, and the interactive Hebocon workshop where self-built robots compete against each other.

On June 21st at 9 p.m., all CloudLand visitors will be treated to a big Summer Night featuring JP and Friends as well as Vanessa Iraci, who will rock the Community Hall stage.

Tickets for the four-day festival are available in many variants. The CloudLand All-in-One Pass for the entire event costs 2060 euros in the ticket shop, the 3-day ticket (CloudLand Festival Pass) from June 21 to 23 costs 1710 euros (all prices plus 19% VAT). Participants can also purchase a separate ticket for June 20th to attend the CloudCamp.

Matching rooms can be booked in partner hotels; however, the contingent is limited, so early reservation is recommended. Participants can keep up to date with the Cloud Native Festival on the event website, Twitter, or Mastodon using the current hashtag #CloudLand2023.
