Clásico Madness Sparks Anger: Ancelotti Reacts to FC Barcelona-Real Madrid Rivalry

FC Barcelona - Real Madrid: Anger after Clásico madness! Ancelotti foams

Real Madrid’s hopes of winning the Spanish LaLiga championship race have been shattered following their 2-1 loss to arch-rivals FC Barcelona in a mad Clásico. Despite taking the lead after just nine minutes, Los Blancos couldn’t maintain it as Barça turned the game around in added time, conquering the three points and with it probably the 27th championship in the club’s history. The Catalans are now 12 points ahead of Real in the league, leaving them with no chance of catching up.

After the game, Coach ace Carlo Ancelotti was furious and raged about an avoidable wrong decision by the video referee. In the 80th minute of the game, Real striker Marco Asensio netted after a fine combination to make it 2-1 for the capital club. However, the VAR takes the goal back as the Spaniard is found to be razor-thin offside. The hit is irregular, and Ancelotti’s anger is therefore unfounded.

In contrast, Barça coach Xavi Herandez countered Ancelotti’s criticism dryly, saying that he’s surprised that the Italian has doubts about the unrecognized goal because it’s a scientific question. The hit was clearly offside, and there’s no doubt about it.

Real is punished late in the game, with substitute Franck Kessié making it 2-1 for Barça in added time. The joy in the dressing room of the Catalans was palpable and resembled a championship celebration. Even ex-Barça star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang couldn’t miss the game and celebrated with his ex-colleagues the victory over arch-rivals from Madrid.

The defeat is difficult to digest for Real Madrid, who can no longer take the championship away from the Catalans. However, Barça is now in a position to celebrate their almost guaranteed championship win.
