Christmas school meal ends in food poisoning

The Christmas cake. The end-of-year meal at an elementary school turned into food poisoning on Thursday in Paris. About twenty children from Cherbourg school in the 15th arrondissement complained of stomach aches and some of them vomited after the school canteen’s Christmas meal. Four of them were taken to Trousseau and Robert-Debré hospitals for observation, according to Le Parisien.

The menu was appetizing: deer with forest sauce, chestnut puree, cheese and chocolate cake. But the afternoon digestion was difficult. About twenty firefighters and a doctor intervened with the children. The cause of the poisoning is still to be determined, as the food needs to be analyzed.
