It seems that love has triumphed for former Federal President Christian Wulff and his wife Bettina Wulff, as they got married for the third time. Reports confirm that the civil wedding happened last Saturday in the Herrenhausen Gardens in Hanover. The ceremony was attended only by a few close people to keep it private.
The couple’s relationship has been tumultuous since they first met in 2006 during a business trip by the then Prime Minister of Lower Saxony. Christian left his wife Christiane after 18 years of marriage to be with Bettina, and they got married in a civil ceremony in February 2008. After his resignation as Federal President in February 2012, their marriage fell into crisis, and they separated in January 2013.
However, the couple got closer again and decided to give their marriage another chance in May 2015. They even got married in a church on October 17, 2015. Unfortunately, that didn’t last long, and Bettina fell in love with music teacher Jan-Henrik Behnken, leading to a divorce in January 2020.
But as early as October 2020, Bettina’s love-off with Behnken was followed by a renewed love comeback with Christian, and they are still together. According to a close friend of the former Federal President, Christian loves Bettina madly, and she’s just his dream woman.
