The Paris Public Prosecutor’s Office indicated that an investigation was opened on Friday, January 26, after a home-jacking took place in the morning at Jean-François Piège’s home in the 1st arrondissement of the capital. According to Actu17, three men forcibly entered the home while the nanny had just opened the door. The nanny was tied up by the attackers, who stole jewelry and luxury watches, “the initial estimate is about 150,000 euros,” according to the prosecutor. However, the nanny stated that the perpetrators had “acted without violence.”

An investigation for armed robbery has been opened and has been entrusted to the 1st district of the judicial police of Paris. The number of home-jackings of celebrities has multiplied in recent months. Singer Vitaa, radio host Bruno Guillon, Cyril Lignac, and PSG players have all been victims in recent weeks. Last weekend, presenter Anne-Sophie Lapix was the victim of an attempted home-jacking at her home in the 16th arrondissement of Paris while she and her family were there. In this latest investigation, three young men have been indicted for armed robbery committed by an organized group, and jailed, as well as two 17-year-old teenagers, who were placed under judicial supervision.
