Charléty Stadium in Poor Condition Forces Paris FC Match to be Moved to Caen – France

Balluchon FC is facing difficulties due to the poor state of the pitch at Charléty stadium. With their match against ASSE postponed, the women’s team had to play their last two games in Bondoufle. Pierre Rabadan, deputy to the Sports department at the Paris City Hall, expressed his dissatisfaction stating, “Not acceptable”. The men’s team will have to go even further this Saturday for the “home” game against AC Ajaccio in Ligue 2. At the request of the Parisian club, the LFP Competitions Commission decided on Monday night that the PFC vs ACA match will be played at Michel d’Ornano stadium, the usual home ground of SM Caen, on Saturday, March 16, at 7pm.

“The Paris FC deeply regrets this situation which directly affects our supporters, partners, and players. Paris FC thanks Stade Malherbe Caen and its president, Olivier Pickeu, for hosting us on their facilities,” the club said in a statement, citing “the deplorable state of Charléty stadium’s pitch”. PFC had already been forced to relocate several games to Troyes last season due to construction works. This Saturday, loyal Parisian fans will have to travel around 250 kilometers to see their team, approximately a 2.5-hour drive (if there are no traffic jams). The last thing they need is to be sent to the away section.
