Champions League – Europa League | Paris, Marseille, Rennes, Toulouse: The Qualification Scenarios

The Champions League is reaching its climax, with the final spots in the knockout rounds still up for grabs. Here are the latest standings and possibilities for each team.

In Group A, Arsenal leads with 12 points, followed by PSV with 8 points, Lens with 5 points, and FC Sevilla with 2 points. Sadly, Lens has no chance of advancing to the knockout stage due to their head-to-head results with PSV. However, they can still secure a spot in the Europa League if they avoid defeat against Sevilla on December 12th.

In Group B, Dortmund leads with 10 points, followed by PSG with 7 points, Newcastle with 5 points, and AC Milan also with 5 points. PSG is assured of at least a Europa League spot and can secure a place in the Champions League knockout stage if they win, draw, or if Newcastle doesn’t win their game against Milan.

Group C sees Marseille on top with 11 points, closely followed by Brighton with 10 points. Marseille is guaranteed at least a place in the Europa League but will have to settle for a place in the Europa League playoffs if they lose against Brighton.

In Group D, Liverpool sits in first place with 12 points, followed by Toulouse with 8 points, Union Saint-Gilloise with 5 points, and LASK with 3 points. Toulouse is assured of at least a spot in the Europa League playoffs, and can secure a place in the Europa League if they don’t lose to LASK.

Finally, in Group E, Rennes leads with 12 points, while Villarreal follows with 10 points. Rennes will secure a spot in the Europa League knockout stage if they avoid loss to Villarreal.

In the Europa League Conference, Lille leads with 11 points, followed by Slovan Bratislava with 10 points. Lille will secure a playoff spot in the Europa League Conference as long as they don’t lose to KI Klaksvik.
