The match ended 0:1, with Patrick Breitkreuz scoring the winning goal for VSG in the 89th minute. The 2892 spectators witnessed an intense game with both sides creating several chances.

Chemnitz had a promising start with aggressive and enthusiastic play resulting in multiple chances. However, Stephan Mensah (10th/17th/34th), Robert Zickert (16th), Tim Campulka (39th), and Felix Brügmann (32nd/42nd) could not convert these chances into goals. Brügmann, who came on as a substitute for Furkan Kircicek in 26th minute, had to be eventually substituted due to an injury in his left thigh.

After returning from its defeat in the last three games, Chemnitz continued to struggle to maintain its form. The only chance Chemnitz had was through returnee Philip Türpitz, whose shot was defused by Jakub Jakubov (24th).

In the second half, Altglienicke changed its presence on the field, becoming more offensive. Chemnitz, on the other hand, lost its momentum and struggled to make an impact. Jakubov was forced to clear several attempts by the Berliners, including Patrick Breitkreuz’s shot in the 73rd minute.
