Beats Introduces Studio Pro ANC Headphones

Apple subsidiary Beats has released the successor to its Studio3 Wireless over-ear headphones. The new model, called Studio Pro, looks similar to its predecessor but comes with exciting innovations. It features a plastic body with adjustable folding brackets for portability. The ear cups have soft, leather-covered cushions, and the control buttons are located on the side. The Studio Pro also includes a 3.5mm jack and a USB-C socket, replacing the previous Lightning port.

New Bluetooth Version and Siri Integration

The Studio Pro now uses Bluetooth 5.3 for music transmission, replacing the previous Bluetooth 4.0. It no longer includes Apple’s W1 chip, which was present in previous models, including the first AirPods from 2017. The Studio Pro allows users to activate Apple’s voice assistant Siri by saying “Hey Siri”, instead of having to push a button. It also offers quick pairing with various Apple devices signed in to iCloud with the same Apple ID. Android users can enjoy similar functions, such as Google Fast Pair and Google’s device search, by downloading the Beats app.

Multiple Music Playback Options

In addition to Bluetooth, the Studio Pro supports music playback through the built-in jack connection. It also introduces USB audio support, allowing lossless music streaming from compatible services. The headphones offer three preset sound profiles for different types of content, accessible via USB audio.

Improved Sound, ANC, and Transparency Mode

Beats claims to have optimized the sound of the Studio Pro with its 40mm drivers, promising a powerful and balanced sound profile. The headphones support 3D audio with head tracking for Dolby Atmos content, making the listening experience more immersive. Users with TrueDepth cameras on their iPhones can create a personalized hearing profile using the Face ID sensors. The Studio Pro also features adaptive noise suppression, a transparency mode that allows ambient noise during music playback, and enhanced microphone performance for improved voice quality during phone calls.

Battery Life, Colors, and Availability

The Studio Pro offers up to 40 hours of battery life without ANC, the same as the Studio3 Wireless. With noise cancellation or transparency mode activated, the battery lasts for up to 24 hours. The headphones feature a quick charge function, providing four hours of music playback with just ten minutes of charging. The Studio Pro is available in four colors: black, espresso, navy, and sandstone. It is priced at 400 euros and comes with USB-C and jack cables, as well as a fabric carrying case.
